Who are abcEd?


Andy is an energetic facilitator and educator with knowledge, skills and understanding of a broad range of adult learning methodologies.  

Andy is still teaching in a wide variety of High Schools across Perth, specialising in Physical Education.  Previously, Andy was the Professional Services Manager for Principals Australia Institute, implementing the KidsMatter and MindMatters mental health and wellbeing frameworks.  abcEd was born out the things Andy was hearing from teachers and schools where they needed guidance, primarily in communication and small practical things they can do to make a positive difference.

Andy is passionate about coaching mentoring teachers, graduates and admin teams and is currently a facilitator for the WA Department of Education and the Graduate Induction Program.

Rachael was awarded 2016 Positive Teacher of the Year for Western Australia. She is passionate about Positive Education and all that it entails. Rachael presented at the 2017 Positive Schools Conference sharing the success of the wonderful initiatives she implemented at her school. Having worked for nearly a decade in primary schools, Rachael is determined to make Positive Education part of mainstream education, where every student reaps the benefits of positive mental health and wellbeing. 

Currently studying her Master of Education at UWA, Rachael can see the impact a whole school approach to positive mental health can have on students, staff, parents and the wider school community. A Level 3 classroom teacher, Rachael was awarded a School Board Award for her exceptional teaching and leadership practice. 

Rachael is excited about working with abcEd and will bring her positive attitude, enthusiasm and passion for all things education. 

Rachael lives in Perth with her husband, two little dogs and her beautiful baby girl.

Following on from a successful career in senior management of multinational companies both in Australia and overseas, Chris has for the past ten years been coaching communication and culture change in some of the biggest names in industry, including Rolls-Royce, Standard Chartered Bank and BHP, as well as supporting a number of training and development centres in over twenty-five countries.
